Class 2A Playoffs

It's that time of year again. This is how the Iowa Class 2A playoffs breakdown as we head into the final week--

Teams are listed with their district records in parentheses.

District 1
Boyden-Hull-Rock Valley (6-0), Western Christian (5-1), Sioux Center (4-2) and Sheldon (4-2) are all in.

Distric 2
Eagle Grove (6-0), Cherokee Washington (5-1) and Pocahontas-Pomeroy-Palmer (5-1) are in.
Humboldt (3-3) can qualify if any of the following happen:
-They beat East Sac,
-They lose by four points or less (or in overtime),
-They lose by 10 points or less and Clarion-Goldfield wins by six points or less (or in OT)
-Note: Other scoring combinations exist which involve C-G winning and Humboldt losing
Clarion-Goldfield (2-4) can qualify only if the win vs. Okoboji
East Sac (2-4) can qualify if any of the following happen:
-They beat Humboldt and Clarion-Goldfield loses to Okoboji
-They win by 10 points or more AND Clarion-Golfield wins by six or less
-Note: Other scoring combinations work for the above example

District 3
Osage (6-0) and Gilbert (4-2) are in.
Roland-Story (3-3) can qualify if any of the following happen:
-They beat Hudson
-Dike-New Hartford and Central Springs both lose
Hudson (3-3) can qualify if any of the following happen:
-They beat Roland-Story
-Dike-New Hartford and Central Springs both lose
Dike-New Hartford (3-3) can qualify only if they beat South Hamilton.
Central Springs (3-3) can qualify only if they beat South Hardin AND Dike-New Hartford loses.

District 4
North Fayette (6-0), Cascade (5-1) and Sumner-Fredericksburg (4-2) are in.
Monticello (3-3) can qualify if any of the following happen:
-They beat Cascade AND MFL-Mar-Mac beats Dyersville Beckman
-MFL beats Dyersville Beckman by nine points or more
-They lose by five points or less AND MFL beats Dyersville Beckman
-Note: Other scoring combinations like the ones above exist.
Dyersville Beckman (3-3) can qualify if any of the following happen:
-They beat MFL-Mar-Mac
-They lose by one point or in overtime AND Monticello loses by six points or more
-They lose by eight points or less AND Monticello loses by 13 or more

District 5
Solon (6-0), Center Point-Urbana (5-1) and Iowa City Regina (5-1) are in.
North Cedar (3-3) can qualify if they beat Wilton
Wilton (3-3) can qualify if they beat North Cedar

District 6
Davis County (6-0), Mid-Prairie (5-1) and West Burlington Notre Dame (5-1) are in.
Sigourney-Keota (3-3) can qualify only if they beat Davis County AND Mediapolis loses
Mediapolis (3-3) can qualify if any of the following happen:
-They beat Louisa-Muscatine
-Sigourney-Keota loses

District 7
Bondurant-Farrar (5-1), CMB (5-1) and West Marshall (5-1) are in.
North Polk (3-3) can qualify if any of the following happen:
-They beat CMB
-They lose by one point or in overtime AND Albia wins by 10 points or less
-Note: Other scoring combinations exist similar to the one listed above.
Albia (3-3) can qualify only if they beat Prairie City-Monroe AND North Polk loses.
Prairie City-Monroe (2-4) can qualify if any of the following happen:
-They beat Albia by 11 points or more AND North Polk loses,
-They beat Albia AND Nort Polk loses by 11 points or more,
-Note: Other scoring combinations exist like the ones listed above.

District 8
Carroll Kuemper (6-0), Manning-IKM (5-1), Missouri Valley (4-2) and MVAO (4-2) are all in.
